Parque Ceiba

1. Parque La Ceiba — A Green Oasis in the Heart of the City

Located at the intersection of 1st Street South (1 Sur) and Diagonal 60 Sur, in the Ejidal neighborhood of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, CP 77712.


🌿 Description & Highlights

This is the city's first ecological and cultural public park, opened in 2008. It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and engage with the local community.

The park features playgrounds, picnic areas, walking paths, a café (El Corazón de Playa), a library, a meliponary (stingless bee hive), and spaces for creative workshops.

Regular activities include:

  • Artisanal tianguis (local markets every Saturday)

  • Yoga classes, aerial dance, live music

  • Outdoor cinema

  • Volunteer programs and Reciclatón (community recycling)

  • Tuesday to Saturday: approx. 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM

  • Sunday: approx. 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

  • Monday: closed

Public Market

2. Public Market — Urban Fusion of Food and Fun

📍 Location


Located on Avenida CTM (58 Norte), in the Real Ibiza neighborhood, 77723 Playa del Carmen.


🍽️ Description & Highlights

A modern plaza that blends food and entertainment. It features around 100 vendors, restaurants, food kiosks, a water play area, auditorium, green spaces, and is pet-friendly.

It also offers free parking, which is a big plus.

The vibe is lively and family-friendly, with food options for every taste — burgers, sushi, vegetarian dishes, desserts, and more.


Opening Hours

  • Open daily: 9:00 AM to midnight

  • Some sources say it may open as early as 7:00 AM — best to confirm directly, but standard hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

Xca-Ha

3. Parque Xca-Ha — Urban Oasis with a Family-Friendly Cenote


📍 Location

Accessible via Avenida Chemuyil, across from an Infonavit building, in the Villamar neighborhood, Playa del Carmen.


🏞️ Description & Highlights

This ecological and recreational park features four swimming pools, water slides, palapas, lounge chairs, benches, decorative animals, and a semi-open cenote (Cenote Xca-Ha) at the end of the main path.

The water shifts in color from blue to green depending on sunlight and surrounding vegetation. Visitors are allowed to bring their own food, drinks, and coolers. There’s also a small shop on-site and an Oxxo convenience store nearby.


Hours & Admission

  • Open Wednesday to Monday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Entry: approx. 160 MXN for adults / 80 MXN for children

A hidden local paradise, rarely crowded — perfect for a laid-back family day with swimming pools and a cenote, all in a relaxed, friendly setting.
